I’ve realized that my search for my true self was misguided. I was searching for it as if it were a hidden treasure, and if I couldn’t find it, I’d never know my purpose in life. But I need to change my perspective. My true self isn’t something to be discovered, it’s something to be defined. I have the power to decide who I want to be and create that reality. My true self isn’t hidden, it’s undefined, and it’s my responsibility and privilege to give it shape and meaning.
This gives me back control and the ability to choose. There’s a connection to the concept of free will here. So, it’s time to stop searching and start building. It’s time to start designing and constructing my true self, creating blueprints, defining requirements, and envisioning a better future.
